Scrip - What is scrip? Scrip is a term that means “substitute money”. When you purchase scrip, you’re purchasing gift certificates and prepaid cards that are used just like cash. You can use scrip to purchase everyday things like food, clothing, and other essentials, and with every purchase, we earn revenue! Scrip is a popular fundraiser because families don’t have to sell anything. The St. Bridget Scrip schedule for Spring 2010 can be found here. For more information, contact Deb Rogers.

Angel Food - Angel Food Ministries is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing food relief and financial support to communities throughout the United States. At $30 per unit, each month's menu is different and consists of both fresh and frozen items with an average retail value of approximately $60. One unit of food assists in feeding a family of four for about one week or a single senior citizen for almost a month. There are no second-hand items, no damaged or out-dated goods, no dented cans without labels, no day-old breads and no produce that is almost too ripe. Also offered are specialty boxes such as steaks, chicken and pork. There are no applications to complete or qualifications for participants. For more information click here, or contact Theresa Marotta in the Family Life Office at 815 877-1664.

Time and Talent Weekend - On October 10-11, join us for the Second Annual Stewardship Fair featuring the many and varied ministries of St. Bridget Parish. Our goal remains to inform and encourage all parish members to consider, pray and act on the way the Lord calls each of us to be good stewards in our parish, diocese and the world through time, talent and treasure. Time and Talent Opportunities forms are displayed in the entrance of the church.
St. Bridget Craft Fair - The annual St. Bridget Craft Fair is Saturday, October 17th. If you are interested in an exhibit booth or in volunteering at the Craft Fair, please contact Teresa Marotta at 815 877-1664. If you would like to donate a handcrafted item to benefit the Parish at the St. Bridget booth, it would be welcome!
